The U.S. Department of Energy has given Kentucky more than $10.4 million for energy-efficiency and conservation projects through the Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant program.
The U.S. Department of Energy has given Kentucky more than $10.4 million for energy-efficiency and conservation projects through the Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant program.
The money was allocated through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
The state of Kentucky, through the Kentucky Energy and Environment Cabinet and the Department of Local Government, will use the funding to establish programs to reduce energy usage, cut carbon pollution and create green jobs, according to a Department of Energy news release.Read Full Article
