Formulation Supervisor

We are looking for a resourceful, self-motivated leader who is ready for an opportunity to take their career to the next level. As our Formulation Supervisor you will use your expertise to directly supervise and act as a change agent for Formulation operators, assuring consistency and optimum efficiency in work performance and methods, administration of plant safety rules, and company policies. Your leadership, knowledge and contribution will be essential in the successful start-up of our new facility in Blair, NE and to the continued high standards by which we serve our customers.

Supervisor and Team Development:

* Supervise the Formulation operators with regard to leadership, training, technical support and achieving department and team goals.
* Ensure compliance with all processes and equipment operations, safety procedures, and other essential components necessary to successful job performance.
* Plan long term resource requirements. Establish, optimize, and manage daily allocation resource systems utilizing a flexible workforce setup.
* Facilitate the team goal process and ensure linkage of shop floor goals and metrics with department and site key performance indicators.
* Order Fulfilment, Process and Equipment Support: Challenge and support the team to obtain or exceed the performance goals and instill a culture of continuous improvement.

Administration:

* Manage Standard Operating Procedures.
* Responsible for compliance and improvement of relevant quality policies and documents, including appropriate leadership, policy, and safety training. Ensure that housekeeping and GMP methods are in compliance with site and other regulatory requirements.
* Senior level experience is utilized in troubleshooting, equipment design, and product involvement.
* Maintain and develop skills to support the latest Lean, Six Sigma, and other Supply Chain Management, and Manufacturing methods.
* Continuously improve order fulfilment processes to satisfy customer quality and service requirements as well as asset and cost efficiency metrics.

Requirements

* Minimum of a BS in engineering, biological sciences or related.
* Two years relevant Lean and/or Formulation experience (or closely related) in a process industry.
* Three years of successful supervisory experience based on strong leadership skills.
* Physical ability and visual acuity are required to move about plant site. Lifting, climbing ladders and entering bins or tanks are occasionally required.
* A demonstrated ability to clearly and effectively communicate with all levels of the organization and successful management of multiple activities and priorities.
* Ability to travel to our facility in NC for approximately a month for initial training.
