Facilities/Maintenance Mechanic

The Facilities/Maintenance Mechanic performs a variety of duties to support the general maintenance of the Novozymes facility. Responsible for mechanical service calls and in house repairs throughout facility and grounds. Performs work in one or more maintenance trades including carpentry, electrical, plumbing and painting. Performs routine equipment repair and installation of office fixtures. Makes periodic or special inspections of premises to determine repair work necessary. May work from rough sketches, blueprints and drawings. Works on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations. Normally receives no instruction on routine work, general instructions on new assignments. Works well in a team situation to resolve problems and make routine recommendations.
Requirements

Must be proficient with general maintenance practices, have good organization skills, and have 2-4 years of experience in maintenance to include: painting, minor equipment repairs, plumbing, and carpentry. Candidate should be able to work from rough sketches, blueprints or drawings and have the ability to use Microsoft Outlook and some office software. This position requires a high school diploma and a minimum of 2-4 years related experience.
